Manchester City: new galactic team?

Manchester always has been delighted by its local football; even though there are two football teams of the city just one plays outstandingly, Manchester United, a team that has been 17 times champion of the Premier League, 11 of the FA Cup, 3 times of the UCL (UEFA Champions League) and has been the only English team to win the Intercontinental Cup. In the other hand we find the antagonist team of the city, Manchester City, “the citizens” have in their museum just 2 Premier League cups, 4 FA Cups, 2 Football League Cup and 1 European Cup, less than half compared to the United. Even though now days the club can’t compare to the “red devils” (United) in history, they can now do it with money, thanks to the new investment done by “Abu Dhabi Group for Development and Investment” a group who bought the entity in 247 million Euros. The new head of “the Sky Blues” is Sulaiman al-Fahim, nicked as the Donald Trump of Abu Dhabi, and who appears in the top 20 of the most powerful Arabs in the whole world. Sulaman affirms that between this year and the next one, his going to make Manchester City the finest team in whole Europe buying all the best players of the world.

The “citizens” already started their plan by bringing to the club one “galactic”, Robinho. Abu Dhabi’s firm paid to Real Madrid 42 million Euros so they could become owners of the player. The surprising thing was that Robinho had to choose between Manchester City and Chelsea, one of the best fc (football clubs) in the world, and at last hour decided leaving Madrid for Manchester when everything pointed that his feature was in Chelsea. Manchester also did incredible offers to various super-football-stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, to the one they were going to pay 170 million Euros (the highest offer that a team has done to another in football history), they also wanted the wrights of Kaka (120 million Euros), Buffon (80 million), Ronaldinho (50 million Euros), David Villa (90 million Euros), Fernando Torres (100 million Euros), Van Nisterooy (a blank check so Real Madrid could write the price they find convenient for him) Sergio Ramos, Benzema, Tevez, Terry, Cambiasso, Podolski, Afellay, Aguero, Mutu, etc. and believe me they will be more, but all denied the tempting offer.

All though the offers where extreme, I think the players didn’t leave their team because they don’t feel enough respect towards Manchester City, so they preferred to stay where they were. In football, almost always, money decides which are “good” and “bad” teams, but not always this, is the mayor influence. For many players there’s not only money there’s also glory, and any of these players saw glory in Manchester, but even though players don’t see glory, and don’t respect Manchester City there will be an offer so tempting that they would not denied to it. All football players have a price to the one they cant say “no”, and Abu Dhabi can write that price in a check without regretting it.

In my opinion, Manchester City in approximately 2 years will be the owner of the most expensive football team in the whole world.
