Alcohol prohibition in the U.S.: would our society will be better if alcohol is prohibed?

During the 1920’s alcohol was prohibited in the Unites States of America, manufacturer’s import and export of alcohol beverages was terminated. Prohibitions did not achieve its supposed goals; instead it added more problems to the U.S. the eighteen amendment was said and all exporting, importing, selling, manufacturing of alcohol was prohibited in January 16, 1920. The intention of the U.S was to reduce the consumption of alcohol beverages between the people of the country.
This act was considered a failure in a political view, because it change the way Americans started seeing alcohol. This made Americans think that what the government did was not always the right thing to do. It all started in the 1920’s when the American people accepted the act of the government for the prohibition of intoxicating alcohol. The prohibition in the U.S was done for many things; for example: to reduce crime and corruption, solve social problems, reduce tax burden created by prisons and poor houses, and also to improve health hygiene in America.
The government of the U.S was counting on the reduction of alcoholism, crime, social problems and to improve the health hygiene for citizens in the U.S. Instead everything was not going as predicted; for example: many alcohol businesses broke, many factories closed, many people who depended of alcohol were going crazy. Alcohol became an illegal substance in the U.S just like marijuana, and cocaine. Since alcohol was illegal its price doubled and even tripled; so one way to earn more money was selling alcohol, just like drugs now in the present. More mafia came into the U.S from all over the world; for example the Colombian cartel, Italian cartel, Chinese cartel, Mexican cartel, and also including some gangs from the U.S. This cartels increased more crimes in the cities, more gangs, and brought police corruption into the country.
Many countries started exporting and sending alcohol into the U.S for business. Since alcohol was much more expensive after it was prohibited, the business was better for the cartels. They were getting bigger so the income of money they received from alcohol increased, this brought to the enlarging of cartels. This process lasted for 13 years and during 1933 the U.S government realized that making alcohol illegal was a huge mistake. Because alcohol helped the economy in the U.S and many cartels were not only selling drugs as their many products, but they realized that alcohol was better since people consumed it more than drugs. During1933 it all ended and alcohol was legalized again to earn less troubles. Everyone in the United States realized that illegalizing alcohol was a project, that is was supposed to fix many things in the country. Instead it brought many problems to the U.S secure system and government.
The prohibitions of alcohol in the U.S was a huge mistake, because it brought many problems like more crimes, more gangsters, more cartels, more police corruptions, many businesses broke and because of that they started selling alcohol in illegal ways. The prohibition of alcohol was a huge mistake it started in 1920 and it ended 13 years later during 1933. Mafia was decreasing again and all the problems they got during 1920 to 1933 started ending. Alcohol can’t be prohibited in any country, an less in one where consume of it is huge, if a country decides to finish with alcohol it will happened the Same as it happened to U.S. because many people need alcohol in different occasions and some like it so much that they will consume it even though is illegal. We can conclude that alcohol is better to have it in a society.
